It has been 30 years since the passing of my grandfather, mentor and the person who lit the spark for my love of pursuing chiropractic care as my life’s work. In our busy worlds, the loudest seem to get the most attention, when it is usually the quiet ones who have the greatest impact on those around them. My grandfather was such an individual. I wrote the obituary for my grandfather and I have linked it HERE.
I hope everyone reading this has at least one such person in their life that has made a impact. For me, it was been “Doc” (B. Franklin “Doc” Miner, D.C.)

April, 2013: double blind study on manipulation for chronic lower back pain appears favorable. Much of the clinical evidence that supports manipulation, like that used routinely by chiropractors, shows very good results in patients with back pain for less than 30 or 60 days. This study showed significant reductions in pain levels in patients that have had pain for over a year, after they had undergone therapy for 2-3 months.

The field of studying the human microbiome, the ‘good’ bacteria in our body that help us with everything. From efficient digestion of our foods, to better decision making and mental clarity. While all humans are 99.99% similar, our biome is far more unique. When we have problems, research is looking at how our systems can be altered to overcome those health challenges. This field is also using nutrients to cut off the blood supply to cancerous tumors as well as the extra blood supply that is involved with obesity. To stay connected to their ongoing progress, check out Dr Li’s website: Angio.Org Also check out one of the foremost authorities on the human microbiome, Dr Rob Knight from the University of California, San Diego. UCSD is doing incredible research on the developing science.
Another good article from U.S. News and World Report to help us understand how to help our systems. Just like a healthy society, your gut functions best with diversity. The more varieties of food and plants in a week the better!
